So my first full friday night has come and gone. I spent the largest part in the Britt Club, a delightful outpost of club-goers stuck 2000 some odd miles from the night-spots that they crave. And it begins. 41 hours 35 mins is too long to be in the travel system. Most people loath being stuck traveling for more than four or five hours. A 16 hour car ride can drive some insane. Ok, as you can tell, I'm a Sailor in the US Navy. I've been a Sailor for six years. I've been a Petty Officer for about half of that time. I've made PO2 (that's Petty Officer Second Class or E-5) twice. Not an easy task in the new Navy. It's hard to move from E-5 to E-3 and stay in the service these days.
